Facebook Profile Link accepting/storage/initiating link
In our app we are asking people (optionally of course) to add their
facebook profile page url. What we are seeing is that they have a wide and
varied assortment of URL's ... some with country artifacts some just with
the facebook url with the user's profile 'name'.
So what should we ask the user to provide, I notice that the username is a
url as well. Should we lop off the url part store the part after the last
'/' and use that with the 'www.facebook.com/' leadin?
Finally is there an easy was, using cURL, to verify that the user name is
valid? Not worried about getting anything other than a true/false type of
indication.
